This is my first Beta. 2022 390 rr-s. 13t front, 165lb rider. Issues so far are the hot start issue where battery seems dead until the bike cools (Seems to have stopped itself around 7 hours) and high altitude bog and loss of power. (Originally had the bog lower in elevation but the Sept Map fixed it until 5000ft+ where it starts to do it again). The dealer who sold the bike contacted Beta and they ended up covering the cost of the rebuild - unexpected and much appreciated. Since then, it has been an amazing bike. I came from a KTM 300 Six Days, and before that, two . I was really excited to get a new 2024 Beta 390 this week. First few starts took a few tries, but the battery cranked it fine. I figured I would get it up to temp and ride it for 15-20 min, and see if it would learn the idle, which it did. I noticed it got up to about 215 deg when idling, but I f.
Have heard of fewer problems on the Beta 350 than the 390. Might try shopping for a GasGas or Husqvarna unless you really like the KTM PDS rear shock (I do). The GasGas models typically are heavily discounted compared to KTM or Beta. GasGas/Husky/KTM are all KTMs with slightly different flavors and looks.

I think the 390 is better for resale and bigger bore are better if street legal I think.. You being 130 any bike will be fine. I pick 390 but both are great. You’ll fly on both and both will be great for you. When I got my first Beta I wondered about a 450 or 525 street legal.
